This website was developed to share information about the celebrations in Britain and Ireland marking the 500th anniversary of the Carmelite nun Saint Teresa of Avila.
The centenary year, Teresa 500, ran from her feast day, 15th October 2014, to 15th October 2015. The actual centenary of her birth was celebrated on 28th March 2015. We would like to thank everyone who helped make the Teresa 500 year such a wonderful success.
